I am so jealous of the fair food. But I had buckwheat (Kasha) pilaf, and Megan had soy cheese and macaroni.

Speaking of coworkers having dumb responses to lunches, What do you respond to:

yesterday we tried to go to the new fatburger that opened up near the park meadows mall in b.f.e., but the line was so long that we just went next door to tokyo joe's.

i've got to start making my lunches at least 3 times a week again, but i'm so burnt out on pbj's/pb honeys, apples, bananas, granola bars (my standard "make at home lunch"). any idears on how to mix up/spice up/diversify "make at home" lunches?

today i went to einstein bagels and ate a sesame bagel with onion, lox and capers. it usually works but today it wasn't nearly enough.

yesterday we fired up the grill and I totally burnt the crap out of some porkchops. Mine was inedible, Noah and Henry could eat most of theirs. To get some use out of the charcoals, we stuck a chicken on the grill and roasted it. It came out pretty delicious. I stuck it in the table top convection (aka the nacho machine) for 30 minutes at the end when teh coals had died down.

I made chicken salad with the breasts last night and had chicken salad tacos for lunch today. It was pretty good, but could have used some more flavor. I also had a Lance Peanut Bar for dessert, which is pretty much pure sugar.

Megan had some pasta (maybe rigatoni?) in a marinara sauce with some fake ground meat. It wasn't a very big portion. She also had a carmel apple someone brought in to the office last week.

usually on the fridays i work i go with a few people to wahoos! fish tacos and we take like a 2 hour lunch which is the bomb. but the normal crew isn't here today so i went by myself to jason's deli and got the club royale sandwich. it's loaded up with turkey and ham, some lettuce, tomato, and cheddar chz, and has this killer honey mustard spread, all in between a greasy delicious croissant. it comes with the standard fare of potato chips and a pickle, but i added a piece of cherry cheesecake, and indeed, it was scrumtrulescent.

we didn't realize the new taco bell was open, so we got wendy's. megan and i struck a deal. she ordered the taco supremo salad and sold the chili to me. I also had biggie. fries. So did Megan. Megan's food took up a lot of space on the table in the break room, even with her parting with the chili.

yesterday me and MP were going to this mexican place and on the way were just to Savoy when i hollared that we should go to savoy instead. He was all: i was hoping youd say that!

I got Penne alla vodka which was totally fantastic. Usually pasta with pancetta in it is good, but its usually like having these little fat balls to deal with. This pancetta was crisp and perfect.

it's a typical standby for me but it fills the hole: today i had a gyro and seven falafel balls (they gave me one extra today).

Some info on members --

I think that out of regular posters we have mostly people from NC (from various parts of the state), and Hubs and now LSE, in Denver.

Irregular posters include people in OR, CA, DC, and more people in NC. But our membership has never meant to be exclusive, or limited. We have been regularly known to link to restaurant web sites, especially if we have been unhappy with the experience. We were the top hit for "Moe's Southwest Grill Sucks" for a long time, which I was proud of, especially since I really hate the place.

Spelling is often bad by all members. Because of this, we regularly get hits by people looking for our misspelled versions of recipes. I recently added a site meter to the bottom.

It is often incredibly boring. This fact is not lost on the authors, in fact, this is often reveled in.

The original authors chose to not link back to individual blogs from the homepage, for reasons I don't remember. We could change it, but I don't really see any reason too.

I'm glad that this is over a year old. I still think that its hilarious at times, and hope we continue. Welcome to new members. And I promise that just because we are sometimes mean to Hubs, it doesn't meanwe are really that mean.

why oh why oh why do i keep eating del taco i have no idea. but i did again today and i loved it. had chicken soft tacos, which are the bomb, and a bean and cheese burrito w/ green sauce.

megan went to go eat with bucho. i ate salad from home and some blueberry yogurt and read the newspaper. the biggest news to report seemed to be that Clay Aiken was in town last month, and his disguise of choice was a gilligan's island style hat.

this is a late post, it's actually saturday but still friday in my mind cuz i just got home.

"today" i ate at max burgerworks and had a freakin phenomenal burger. southwest burger which includes pepperjack cheese, chipotle mayo, and onion rings. thing was stacked like a foot high and was very delicious. fries and onion rings on the side, and a fat tire to wash it all down with. a little pricey, but well worth it.

today i had a sicy thai tuna wrap fron the 16th street deli.

I went with MP to this newish tex-mex place, Mamacitas. I like this place but they really nickel and dime you to death on the extras. I had two soft tacos, one with citrus chicken and one with chipotle chicken. The citrus was better. And I'm not just saying that cos Im so sick of people saying chipotle.

theres this little hole-in-the-wall luncheonette right down from where i work. its been there forever and its stupid cheap and its kind of sick and kind of delicious. thursday is beef tips day. my co worker is always making this big deal about them but most thursdays we're too late and they sell out.

finally i got beef tips today. they came over rice with gravy and i got pickled beets and a salad that was swimming in ranch ( in the good way)... also two biscuits. one was great and one was shitty.

today was a tokyo joe's day mostly because i wasn't feeling anything else.

so i had the regular chicken bowl with brown rice and veggies, and drizzled with spicy-aki sauce. mountain dew for the beverage. and of course eaten with chop-sticks while listening to jim rome in my truck.

Due to emergencies, today I had a couple of hot dogs with the works

I went to lunch with Ginni and her office again. I almost feel as if I work at her office since I talk to her coworkers more than mine. We went to neomonde. I got the samplet platter with chickpea salad, potato salad, pasta salad, and stuffed grape leaves. I ate a nutrageous back at the office b/c i was jealous of everyones baklava.

On Saturday Sally, Se, and Noah came into Asheville for a wedding. We went to the Greek Festival downtown. ( Also with us were MP and Ellen)... SE tried to get souvalki and ended up with this gyro and was super pissed about it. I think Noah ate the wrapper.

I had spanokopita and meatballs and Noah and me had struck up a Dolmades deal, so my lunch turned out fantastic.

Later I had baklava for the first time since i was a kid. I think its only ok.

megan and i were supposed to meet ted and ginni for lunch, but then ted bailed on us for some monkeys. somehow Hooters became the restaraunt of choice. When Ginni's coworkers realized where she was going they all tagged along. We had to wait a LOOONNNG time. It felt kind of ridiculous to wait 30 minutes for hooters. Apparently our waitress was really dumb, or really new. I couldn't hear that well, and just quit trying. Everyone kind of got mesmerized by the atmosphere, and everyone watched their own personal flat screen tv showing sportscenter and poker.
It took forever, and we ended up taking a two hour lunch. then our boss showed up, and was eating by himself so megan sent him over an Icehouse.

I had the flappertizer, a side salad, and baked beans. and ginni's coworker's leftover cold fry ends.

I feel totally barfy.

good ole american fries and hamburger. the guy beind the counter drew a happy face with with katchup on my tray.

i met with a new contact for one of my accounts. it was a pretty good time. she smokes alot. i had chili and a house salad. this place has great ranch... and the chili came with those really good super thin corn chips.

just now i had to go to cookies by design for one of those millionaire cookies. most depressingly they were out. but they have good pnut butter cookies. they have reeses cup peices in them.

I was banking on leftovers for lunch today, but noah ate more than I was expecting. Instead I went to the buffet at India Palace II located in a weird shopping center in a gas station parking lot. It was fabulous. I decided that eating by yourself at a buffet is perfect, b/c even if you are with someone, inevitable your timing for refills gets off, and you're never sitting at the table at the same time anyway.

since its flooding here the call center has been totally overrun with calls. my mom was going to do this catering so she sent all the stuff here. we had this big spread of dill rolls and boiled shrimp and ham and baby carrot cakes. she even sent me the cocktail sauce stuff.

I just got back from eating a Bridge Hampton sandwhich from Gandolfo's. It wasn't enough so I had to eat two.

i had a meditteranean bagel sandwich from my favorite muffin. it gave me onion breath because red onions are included. and while delicious, red onions give you bad breath.

i just went to my parents for lunch. they had lots of lake leftovers. i mainly had a ham and swiss sandwich and bleu cheese and crackers. my mom said my shirt looks disgusting and now im so self conscious.

im so tired and i had to go to office depot to get this manager a printer toner cartridge. i was so starving and bk was right there. i got back and wolfed down a whopper at unbelievable speed. now my coworker is complaining that is smells oniony and like HotDog King in here.

for lunch today i consumed a spicy thai tunafish wrap purchased from the 16th street deli. my receptionist intruduced me to them and i have been having them about every other week since.

All week we've been tlaking about going to waffle house this friday. I think i encouraged megan into getting the double order of hashbrowns, extra crispy, scattered and peppered. she also had a grilled cheese. This was an amazing amount of food.

I had the blt and single order scattered & covered xtra crispy.

I'm wondering if xtra cripy actually means xtra grease. The waitress instead of the line cook made the hashbrowns and she looked the cat who at the canary she was so proud of how golden brown they were.

I think megan's gonna puke, and never go back to the WH.

today i had left over italian food. i'm not sure where from or even what it was. it tasted good though.

megan had a frozen bean burrito with an oatmeal raisin cookie and i had chicken enchiladas and an orange.

My dad and me went to Don Pablos... which is generally pretty sick. I had a taco chicken salad and it was sick in a delicious way.

i had left over chinese food from the crazy asian. it was beef mongloid

I had chicken salad and an orange and had to eat this energy bar not an hour later because of hunger.

megan had a peanut butter sandwich. I didn't see her eat anything else, but I could be wrong. oh wait. she had an apple.

we went to maggianos for a goodbye party. I met the person this morning. I;ve been trying out a new rotating diet where every 4th day i have one wheaty meal, instead of gorging the whole day on wheat. that place is pretty gluten filled, and give you enough food to count fo the whole day, but i went for it anyway. We had calimari and fried mozzarella patties, the maggiono's salad and caesar salad, salmon, chicken, broccolli feteccini, bread, 4 cheese ravioli, and cheesecake and tiramisu. I left before the dessert got there, megan's supposed to be coming later with the leftovers. and the desserts. unless she ate them all on the way home.

I was starving all of yesterday so today i planned ahead and packed potato salad, and a frozen thing of this lentil soup. I was pretty full and saved the peach for this afternoon when i'm sure to get hungry again. Megan had the same thing as yesterday except with peas instead of green beans and some kind of fig bar instead of creme pie.

I had a turkey & bacon on white w/mayo and tomato. It was f'ing good partly because I was so hungry. And pasta salad.

I just ate lunch with megan in the employee kitchen. I made her bring her lunch in, even though she usually goes home to eat lunch. I ate wheat free mac & cheese (noah made it) and part of a pork tenderloin I made this weekend that was stuffed with peaches, walnuts, and a yellow pepper. Megan had a t-bone steak. Just kidding. she had green beans, wild rice, and tofu. and a piece of boston creme pie. They get the paper which it looks like you can read while you eat lunch. But you have to make sure you don't get food on the paper, or someone gets annoyed.

MP and me went to this new coffee shop that his friend opened. We had turkey sandwiches and fritos at the bar. They have Cookie Crisp and Lucky Charms there.

i had the lunch special from the place down the street. it was BBQ pork chops, mashed potatoes and green beans. the beans were salty, the pork chops overcooked. but good flavor.

i went out with my dad for lunch. i had black bean soup with sour cream and chicken salad with tons of dill and this cubed cheese that was delish.

today i had a gyro and falafel balls for lunch.

i had a semi fancy spinach lasagna. also i went to the drug store to get something chocolately and ended up getting this snack mix for the corn nuts. spicy corn nuts.

I tried the new Wendy's low carb meal.  The Tuscan Chicken or something equally dumb named.  it comes with a diet coke and a ceasar side salad, no croutons.  It was WAY too expensive over 6$ and the price isnt on the drive thru menu so I was flabbergasted when he said the total.  they dont have these meals at every Wendy's, and  I think i figured out the system.  They are only at Wendy's near office parks.  So it was pretty tasty with lots of melted parmesan cheese (the same as they put on the caesar salads,  and grilled vegetables, and a chicken breast, probably leftover grilled chicken sandwich patties.  It tasted a lot like airplane food, and even came in the same type tray.  I like airplane food though.

today i went to fantanos chicago subs and got a sandwich called the wiseguy. it had both prosciutto and capicola on it.  pretty good grub but the bread was too had (baggette style)

lunch with my board member included meatloaf, fries and steamed veggies. yummmmmm.

today i went to a newish deli on 16th street. i hadn't been there before. it was really good. i got a spicy thai tuna wrap and a bowl of chilli. it's a little tough on the bowels though.

i went to the pizza place across the srteet. i got one slice of sicilianand one slice of pepperonni and a coke. i also got ripped off. it cost me $8.63

I went to applebee's to meet people I used to work with and got all the scopp on everyone. It was a big gossip session. I ate riblets and fries. the waiter tried to charge me for a pepsi, but i straightened him out since i was conservatively drinking water.

half order indian taco from deschutes crossing restaurant. the tacos are made from indian fry bread and at full order, is like 3 days worth of meals.

there is this place called Johnny rockets on the mall. it a fake 1950's joint. it sucks reallly, but thee route 66 burger is good so that's what i got.

today i went home for lunch and had leftover sauasage and pasta for lunch. it's really nice living walking distance from work (sometimes). 

i had lunch with two of my cousins, one of my cousins two daughters and my nana and my mom. it was for my cousins daughters birthday. we went to this new place and i had a roast beef sandwich on black bread with pickled onions and horseradish mayo. totally delish. the best part about this place was that you got two sides. i had fries and pea salad.

Turkey on lettuce - no bread in the house. Pita chips, apple. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

i had a grilled cheese on gluten free bread from the bread machine. it was made on a george foreman so it was crinkled. I also had UTZ kettle classic sweet potato chips, tortilla chips and salsa, and grapes and banana slices.

i had a club sandwich and gross soggy fries. now i must go throw up.

I tried one of the new bojangles salads. I guess they're jumping on the crave too. I got the grilled chicken one, but really wanted the fried chicken one. Their dressings were above average. I got blue cheese.

i had a taco salad from taco bell... no shell. then one of these so called healthy energy bars randy got. theyre called krave and they're about as healthy as a kit kat.

we had steak fajitas. I ate more than my share. and i'm still hungry.

me and mp went to my parents for lunch. we had those good leftovers from the night before. i made this salad with shrimp, steak, fresh mozzerella, grape tomatoes, and artichokes in a fresh basil vinagrette. totally delish.

I had three bean tacos today. they were not very exciting, with just beans and cheddar and jalapenos and salsa. but everything was prepeared really quickly. It funny to basically just use the microwave as you only kitchen applicance.

today i went home for lunch. but i brought a quiznos classic italian sub with me.

i called my mom to see if she wanted a sandwich since i had good ingredients. she says sure so i drive home, make the sandwiches and then drive up to her house. she was all: why did you have these sandwiches in your car?

sandwiches consisted of: wheat pocketless pita, turkey, spinach, cucumbers, mozzerella, spin/art flavour allouette cheese.

i had a sbd turkey roll up.

i went to a place i'd never been to before called the sugar beet. it was pretty good. i got the honey baked ham sandwich on sourdough

today i had a philly cheesesteak and a bunch of fries. the fries were the good kind with the skin left on them. i dousd them in malt vinegar like i was some sort of brit.

salad and mango/avocado quesadilla. I counted and i think i actually got 14 mangoes for a dollar.

I made this chickpea & tuna salad last night with chili flakes and that's what I ate for lunch. It turned out pretty well, I could eat it again.

I will have heavenly ham for lunch. I think i ordered the salad. i have to go back to this medical conference for the rest of the day. sigh. at least there will be ham.

we went to the indian place in burlington last night. As you might imagine places open on sunday nights are few and far between. This place is fairly new and it was a nice treat to see that it didnt suck. I got the tandoor mixed grill. it came with shrimp lamp chicken, etc. i have been sticking to the tandoor stuff at indian rest. because i cant be sure about the flour contact of teh rest of the sauces. getting that though is kind of like getting fajitas at chili.

I had leftovers for lunch. but am still starving thanks to the stupid steroids. I just looked in the mirror and realized they are making my cheeks look like chipmunk cheeks.

i went to the baseball game again today so i had two polish sausage dogs and a beer.

i went to lunch with my granny and my mom and dad. we went to a new place thats in a new subdivision. i had a salad with seared scallops. it was delish, but SO small and SO expensive. It was the size of a salad you get before your meal. and it was 17 bucks!

KFC 3 chicken strips with mashed potatos and cole slaw and a biscuit. The chicken was dripping butter/grease. It was pretty good.

on my way to work to day i swung through the drive thru to get a taco supremo salad. I get to work and sit down to assemble the thing and its missing the chili. I ate it and moped for the rest of the day. I went to complain on my way home and they gave me another one, so I ate the salad for dinner too, this time with the chili.

a sonic burger joint has recently opened up a little ways from my work. i wasn't that impressed. it tasted like every other fast food burger i've had. not that great. their tater tot's, however, were delish.

today i had a 4x6. it four different types of mediterranean salad (all on a bed of lettuce) and six falafel balls.

I had a Subway veggie on wheat with BBQ Baked Lays. This meal reminds me of college. Although I was surrounded by some serious anorexia/bulimia this meal was about as close as I ever got to low cal.
